No prior experience is necessary.

You'll be taught the fundamentals of molding clay on the wheel.

Ideal for those wanting to learn a new artistic skill. We supply the tools, and clay is available for purchase if needed. A 12.5 lbs. bag costs $15, while a 25 lbs. bag is $30.

The class will convene for 4 weeks from 6:00pm to 8:30pm.

​Adult Monthly Wheel/Hand-building Private Classes

Whether you are brand new or an experienced potter, you can take wheel and hand-building private classes. Call to schedule time slot.

Private Wheel / Hand-building Classes (Adults Only)
​
Wheel /hand-building classes are great for anyone who wants to expand their throwing skills, whether they are a beginner or advanced. The teacher will instruct at the level the student is at. Class fee does not include basic tool kit or clay. Both are sold at studio.
​
Beginner students will learn how to wedge, center, pull walls, trim, use a slab roller, extruder, molds and glaze. Projects typically include bowls, mugs, plates, trays and vases.
Experienced students can improve their skills. Projects may include tea pots, pitchers, plates, raku firing, and other advanced forms.

Studio Guidelines
Tuition
Fees are due on the first day or prior to class.

Material/Tools
Glazes stored in-house and kiln usage are included in tuition. Clay and tool kits are available for purchase. Students may want to bring other tools and a towel.

​Make-ups
There are no make-up classes. If the whole 4-week class was missed, you can reschedule up to 3 months.

​Additional Studio Guidelines​
Shelf space must be cleared and all work picked up within one month after nonattendance and no commutation with the staff.
Oak Knoll is not responsible for any personal property stored or left in the studio.
Oak Knoll reserves the right to exclude from programs and activities, anyone who fails to abide by the studio guidelines and practices.
